Calculating CNG Fuel Costs
In Utah, the cost of CNG fuel is around $0.97/gallon.  The cost of unleaded gasoline is $2.47/gallon.

Gasoline
Fuel Price/gal = $2.47

Fuel economy city/highway avg = 30 mpg
Annual Miles Traveled = 15,000
Annual Fuel Cost = $1,214.75


CNG
Fuel Price/gal = $0.97
Fuel economy city/highway avg = 30 mpg

Annual Miles Traveled = 15,000
Annual Fuel Cost = $485.00
Annual Cost/Savings using a CNG vehicle... $729.00


Note: This cost evaluation is specific to the Honda Civic GX natural gas vehicle. As of this writing, the Civic GX is the only original equipment manufacturer natural gas vehicle available.
