In other news... there is a new station making great strides for GreenFuel here in Utah. Blu Stations opened up a fuel station in South Salt Lake City.  Not only do they offer LNG (liquefied natural gas), but also CNG (compressed natural gas). This is the newest green fuel station that opened on April 5th, 2011. Sen. Orrin Hatch, Governor Gary Herbert and many others were at the grand opening. 


I was able to fill up my green car just a few weeks ago - it was a great experience. The station has one LNG station, and four CNG stations (two are 3000 PSI and two 3600 PSI). Most newer cars use the 3600 PSI nozzle which allows for a faster fill-up and more natural gas in your tank. Note - it is very important to know which classification your tank uses. If you are driving 3600 PSI model tank then you can use either nozzle. However, if you have a 3000 PSI tank, well, make sure you only fill-up at the 3000 PSI stations otherwise you may seriously damage your fuel system.

I visited a new CNG and LNG Fueling station today! It is part of a company called, Blu Stations, adjacent to the Flying J fueling station and truck stop.

They have two 3000 PSI pumps, two 3600 PSI pumps, and one LNG pump. Each pump has their own payment system, so nice!

Great news came yesterday (02/01/2010) when Apple decided to advertise our GreenFuel App in the iTunes their App Store! Our App to locate alternative "green" fuels is being featured under their utilities page.  Even better, it appears on the App Store main page.  We look forward to sharing our app with more people thanks to Apple.

Our newest updates are now available in the iTunes App Store!  GreenFuel App version 1.2 includes the option to choose the radius for your search!  We also made other improvements on the app's stability, and performance.
